This month's discussion prompt: The Future of the Texas Electric Grid
Few things touch every Texan's life quite like the grid, and few topics are changing faster. Texas leads the nation in wind power and is adding solar and battery storage at a breakneck pace, even as a wave of new data centers and a booming population push demand to record highs. Can the grid keep up? Are renewables making it more resilient or more fragile? How real is the threat from hackers, and how prepared are we? Why do our bills keep climbing, and who should pay for the upgrades that keep the lights on?
Whether you come at it as an engineer, an investor, a policy wonk, or simply someone who remembers the winter of 2021, bring your questions and your opinions. Expect surprising perspectives from fellow alumni across a wide range of fields and Harvard schools.
