"Time Machine" Happy Hour

All Ivy+ clubs are invited to a unique happy hour experience sponsored by the University of Chicago Business School Club and the Harvard Club of Austin at the iconic Texas dance hall, The Broken Spoke.
This historic dance hall, built in 1964, boasts an authentic country atmosphere, complete with vintage decor and legendary live music performances. (Seriously, we don't think a single board or ceiling tile has been altered since the place was built in 1964, hence the "Time Machine" reference!).
SPECIAL NOTE: Harvard Club Member Matt Fajkus will be there to give us a preview of his upcoming expedition to the summit of Mount Denali. Matt runs Matt Fajkus Architecture and teaches architecture at the University of Texas. Climbing Mt. Denali, the highest peak in the US, has some special challenges and prerequisites that you will have to hear to believe. Matt is a Board Member of the Harvard Club of Austin and longtime supporter of our club.
Mingle with fellow alumni and experience a true country evening with live country music from 6-8 pm. Feeling adventurous? Stay for an optional Texas Two-step dance lesson from 8:00 pm till closing.
There is no cost to attend, but a $20 cover after 8:00 pm for a dance lesson in the Texas Two-step and unlimited dancing from 9:00 pm onwards. Pre-registration is not required. Food and drink can be purchased on your own.
