How are your property taxes calculated? Is this a fair process? How do we assess the fairness of a tax system? And how have certain industries used the tax system to get away with murder? Find out at this edition of the Civic Engagement Happy Hour hosted by the Harvard Club of Austin and open to all Ivy+ alumni!
Our speaker, Shenghao "Daniel" Wang, is a graduate of both MIT (SB 2016, Mathematics) and Harvard Law School (JD, 2020). He is also currently running for a position on the Travis Central Appraisal District Board of Directors, which appraises all properties in Travis County for tax purposes.
