Join Cornell Alumna, Lauren Butler and Yale Alumnus, Al Ntiri for a performance by their marimba band, Mafaro. They play traditional Zimbabwean music with The Rattletree School of Marimba (think giant wooden xylophones). Mafaro plays promptly at 7:30pm and will be followed by an mbira performance, as well as music by Kupira Marimba. Please come enjoy this uplifting music with us, and feel free to dance! This is a family friendly venue, so your children are welcome. There will be two additional bands following our performances, so you can come early and stay late. We look forward to entertaining you!
Cost: $8 cover at the door includes 5 bands, a buffet of spicy meatballs, rice and beans, and ample parking! A full bar is available with alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.
