Special Event - Speaker Bobby Chesney on Issues of Security

A Harvard Club of Austin Event

Airstrikes in Iraq against ISIS.  A declared end to combat operations against the Taliban in Afghanistan.  Drone strikes in Yemen against AQAP, in Somalia against al Shabaab, and in Pakistan against any number of groups.  These are just some of the developments giving rise to difficult questions about the law governing U.S. counterterrorism activities in 2015.

The Harvard Club is honored to have as our guest Professor Bobby Chesney (HLS '97), who will address these issues of national and international security. Join us on Wed, Feb. 18, from 6-8pm for a fascinating and timely discussion with Professor Bobby Chesney. Bobby Chesney is the Charles I. Francis Professor in Law and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Texas School of Law and the Director-Designate of the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law. For more information on Mr. Chesney visit http://www.utexas.edu/law/faculty/rmc2289/.
